Terms of service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are between you and Oviolearn EdTech Private Limited (“we”, “us”), of India.

If you use Gintoo on behalf of an academy, you confirm you have authority to bind that academy.

Gintoo is an abacus practice and competition platform for academies in India. It includes:

• Gintoo for Teachers — student lists, printable and assignable worksheets, reports (including technique accuracy), and competition registration
• Gintoo for students — a learning path, lessons, streaks and badges, and timed practice aligned with levels from Starter to Grandmaster

Worksheets and competition papers are generated from a shared question engine (configuration + seed). Competition answers are marked on our servers; answer keys are not sent to student devices.

We may change features over time. We aim to keep the service useful for real abacus class, not to promise unbroken availability.

• Master admin (us) creates academies
• Academy admins manage teachers and academy-wide student moves
• Teachers manage their own students, worksheets and seats
• Students log in with a username and PIN provided through their teacher

You must keep passwords and student PINs confidential. You are responsible for activity under your accounts. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.

Student sessions are limited to one device at a time; signing in elsewhere ends the previous session.

Teachers and academy admins must only add children for whom the academy has a legitimate basis to process data, and must record parental consent in Gintoo before a student can log in.

Academies remain responsible for their relationship with parents and for classroom use of the product. See our Privacy notice for what data we store.

Teachers pay a per-student prepaid subscription in Indian rupees (₹). Plans may be Quarterly, Half-yearly or Yearly. Prices and any plan discounts are set in our admin tools and shown in Gintoo for Teachers before you pay.

• You buy a number of seats for a period. Creating, importing or moving students beyond your seat cap is blocked until you add seats or free a seat
• Access for a paid period runs until the end of that period on the India calendar (Asia/Kolkata end-of-day rules used in the product)
• Payments are processed by Razorpay. We do not store card details
• GST may apply as configured and shown at checkout

Refunds and cancellations are described in the Refund and cancellation policy.

If a teacher’s subscription period ends without renewal:

• The teacher may still log in with billing-only access to pay and renew
• Other teacher tools stay unavailable until a valid period is in place
• Students linked to that teacher’s seats cannot practise until access is restored

We may suspend or terminate accounts for non-payment, abuse, or breach of these Terms.

Online competitions may use age groups, timed papers (for example 80 sums in 3 minutes), rankings and e-certificates. Separate competition fees may apply. Registration and eligibility rules in the product control who may enter.

Integrity features (such as focus signals during an exam) may be recorded to protect fairness. Cheating or sharing answers may lead to disqualification.

You must not:

• Probe, overload or attack the service
• Share login credentials in a way that breaks seat or device rules
• Upload unlawful content or harass others
• Attempt to extract answer keys or bypass marking that is meant to stay on the server
• Use Gintoo to build a competing product by scraping our content

Gintoo software, branding (including Bindu, the Gintoo mascot), illustrations and documentation belong to us or our licensors. You get a limited right to use the service for your academy or as a student — not to copy or resell the platform.

Academies retain rights in their own student lists and teaching materials they upload or create outside Gintoo.

Gintoo supports abacus practice and teaching. It does not replace a qualified teacher and does not guarantee exam results or competition outcomes. The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law.

To the extent permitted by Indian law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss (such as lost profits or data loss beyond our reasonable backups). Our total liability for a claim relating to the paid service in a subscription period is limited to the fees you paid us for that period for the affected seats.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in India have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply.
